"Distinctive Destinations"
An Alaskan Town is coming in dead last in the National Trust for Historic Preservation's Dozen Distinctive Destinations competition. If you love Sitka, Alaska, or if you are just curious about the competition, please visit the web page here. I wonder how towns get on this list, and how good ol' Kodiak can be featured next year...

If Kodiak was in such a competition I'd want us to come in last. Isn't it like winning the 'nicest place to live' award in Outside magazine? People might want to move here and then it would not be as nice! I much prefer under the radar. And I know Sitka is way better than the others - I don't need a popularity contest to tell me that!
