Teddy Bear Picnic
I got this image from the Saltonstall's blog, taken by some unnamed geologists who were visiting the island. They are feeding on a washed up whale carcass. It is pretty amazing - click on it to enlarge.
I think I counted 45, with at least a half-dozen cubs. Though I could have counted a rock or two sticking out of the grass on the hillside. But still - wild. I would so love to see that. Not that many showed up to feast on the Abercrombie whale, which given the proximity to where I walk and live, is probably a-okay.
